While Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been on sale for PC since before launch day, on consoles it stayed locked at $59.99 for most of Black Friday season. However, the deal drought is finally over and you can get the game for the everyday low price of $49.94 at Walmart.
It’s worth noting that the above price is for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game; while both will still run on next gen consoles, you’ll need to pay $10 more for the PS5 or Series X version (which has better graphics). However, Walmart also has these on sale for $59.88.
If you want the PC version, you can get it for $53.39 at Green Man Gaming.
Activision has released Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, a bombastic direct sequel to the original Black Ops from 2010. Cold War takes place during the ’80s, allowing players to jump into the shoes of soldiers throughout Vietnam, East Berlin and Moscow.

There are three versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War available, one of which is exclusive to consoles. Here’s what you can choose from:
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition – $59.99 (XB1/PS4) | $69.99 (Series X/PS5)
Things are a bit confusing for folks who purchase the physical, Standard Edition of Black Ops for Xbox One or PS4 and want to upgrade to next-gen.
Here’s what we know:
- PlayStation owners can pay an upgrade fee on the PlayStation Store to access the PlayStation 5 version.
- Xbox owners cannot upgrade their physical copy to next-gen, but the Digital Standard Edition can be upgraded for $10.
- If you buy the $70 Xbox Series X standard edition, you’ll still be able to play it on Xbox One, but the PlayStation 5 version will not work on your PlayStation 4.
Also, note that the base game is $10 more expensive on both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
